I used this recipe as my inspiration for my sauce, but then, I kinda of made it my own…
2 (14.5 ounce) cans Fire Roasted Tomatoes
2 (15 ounce) cans tomatoes sauce
1 (6 ounce) can tomato paste
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon italian seasoning
1 tablespoon Brown Sugar
ground black pepper
6 tablespoons olive oil
1 whole, diced onion
1/2 cup white wine
In a large pot over medium heat add olive oil
then add onion, cook and stir occasionally until onion is translucent
add Garlic, saute till you smell the garlic
Then add 2 cans of fire roasted tomatoes
then add in 2 cans of tomato sauce, tomatoes paste, oregano, italian seasoning, brown sugar, salt and pepper, and white wine,
Test seasonings, make sure its the way you like it and if it is YAY, if not add more seasoning as needed
Simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Normy added sausage to his sauce – you could buy your favorite italian sausage and saute it on the side while the sauce is simmering
but first you must do this
oh and this
Serve with your favorite kind of pasta – I used spaghetti
and when the sauce is done simmering and sausages are cooked
you can serve yourself up some goodness
don’t forget the parmesan cheese!
and don’t forget the sausage!
and don’t forget the garlic bread too!
