Pesto Chicken

So the inspiration for this recipe came from here.

Except instead of doing pesto butter, I just rubbed the chicken down with pesto…

So you just need a whole chicken and pesto (Homemade) I have NEVER in my life had store-bought pesto. I think that is just wrong!


Preheat oven to 350 degrees

rinse chicken with cold water and dab dry with paper towels and place in a dutch oven or roasting pan

Then rub that baby down with some pesto

as much or little as you want, inside and out

bake for an hour or hour and a half or until chicken is 165 degrees
pull out of the oven and let cool for about 10 minutes before serving
