2 sweet potatoes, cut into French fries
2 tablespoons canola oil
3 tablespoons taco seasoning mix
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C).
In a plastic bag, combine the sweet potatoes,
canola oil, taco seasoning,
and cayenne pepper.
Close and shake the bag until the fries are evenly coated. Spread the fries out in a single layer on two large baking sheets.
Bake for 30 minutes, or until crispy and brown on one side. Turn the fries over using a spatula, and cook for another 30 minutes, or until they are all crispy on the outside and tender inside. Thinner fries may not take as long.
2 sweet potatoes, sliced into 1/8-inch thick coins
1 onion, quartered then cut into 1/2-inch slices
2 Tbsp. vegetable or canola oil
1/2 tsp. sea salt (or more or less to taste)
lots of freshly ground black pepper
optional: additional seasonings
Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
Combine all ingredients in a large bowl. Toss with a spoon until vegetables are evenly coated.
Prepare a baking sheet with aluminum foil or parchment paper, and spray with cooking spray. Transfer vegetables to the baking sheet, and spread so that they are evenly spaced in a single layer.
Bake for 20-30 minutes, or until onions begin to crisp and brown, and sweet potatoes are cooked through.
1 whole Sweet Potato
2 Tablespoons Olive Oil
½ teaspoons Kosher Salt
¼ teaspoons Freshly Ground Pepper
¼ teaspoons Garlic Powder
1 pinch Cayenne Pepper
1. Preheat the oven to 450F.
2. Scrub the sweet potato and cut into 1/2 inch slices (or thinner if you like your fries crispier).
3. In a bowl, toss the sweet potatoes with the olive oil,
4. Arrange fries evenly on a cookie sheet and bake for about 20 to 30 minutes minutes, checking after 20 minutes to prevent burning (ovens vary). Flip halfway so they cook evenly.
I don’t make sweet potatoes too often as Normy doesn’t like them and I only really like them only one way and that is sweet potato fries, and that is what this recipe is…I totally just winged it with this recipe. I just wanted fries to go with my burger and well I didn’t want regular fried fries. So I went with these, a little bit better for me and YOU!
Preheat oven to 425
Spray sheet pan with non stick spray and set aside untill you are ready for it
Take one large sweet potato and peal it
Then cut into big strips like fries
then add cut sweet potatoes to a bowl add 1 tbsp of olive oil
season with salt, garlic salt, smoked paprika and a pinch of cinnamon (I did this all by taste)
mix together and spread out onto a single layer on the baking sheet you sprayed
Bake for about 10 minutes and then flip and bake for another 10-15 minutes until tender and a little crispy on the outside
The salt and garlic salt go really well with the already sweet potato, then I added in the smoked paprika for a smokey flavor and then I added in a pinch of cinnamon to add to the sweetness. I think the seasonings I choice tasted really well together, Salty and sweet and smoky…
